Thailand is a majority Buddhist nation with very few Christians. (Only about 0.7% of the population claims to be Christian.) I am always thrilled for the opportunity to share the gospel with folks who have never heard. But among Thailand's Muslim minority here in the south, there are even fewer people who have heard the gospel.
Recently we received permission to share the “Christmas story” at a Muslim village near our home. This is the first time that these kids had ever heard about the birth of Jesus. As we continue this on-going outreach, we are praying that the seed of God's Word will grow and multiply in this place.
Last month I had the opportunity to preach at a brand new church being planted in a near by province. They are using a building that serves as a home, a restaurant and the church's meeting place. All over Thailand there are hundreds, even thousands of towns and villages without a single church of any kind. We look forward to seeing many more come to Christ and many new churches planted here in Thailand.
Yours for Thailand
