On the other hand, Christmas is not a holiday here in Thailand. (Even though most of the shopping centers try to promote Christmas shopping.) Most Thai people assume that Christmas is just a western new-year celebration. Since there are so few Christians here, the average Thai knows nothing about the birth of Jesus.
The small number of Christians here in Thailand means the opportunities for evangelism are unlimited! Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. Just this last Sunday our church meeting was attended by Buddhist and Hindu interested to learn about Jesus!
Please be praying for one of our new Thai friends, Noom. We have started Bible studies together and he is very interested in the gospel.
Rulers and the kingdoms of this world continue to seem all important to most people. Sadly, there are still too many who have yet to hear the good news of God's kingdom.
Holiday or not, now is the perfect time to present the good news of eternal life in Jesus Christ. Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. Thank you for continuing to partner together with us as we proclaim the gospel here in Thailand.
Yours for Thailand
