The political situation here in Thailand continues to be tense. We were hoping that things may “settle down” a bit after recent elections but it doesn't look like that will happen any time soon. Thailand's present political uncertainties and tensions have led to 10 deaths since November and almost 600 people injured. Please pray for peace and continued freedom to preach the gospel here in Thailand.
Continued Gospel Stability
Anthony is originally from Iran but he is a Swiss citizen who has been living in Thailand for several years. Recently Anthony ran into some “trouble” with the police and is facing the possibility of deportation. Through a mutual friend, we were able to meet and Anthony was anxious to discuss spiritual matters.
Once again I had the opportunity to share the wonderful message of salvation in Jesus. Obviously the Holy Spirit has been working in Anthony's heart and he readily decided to put his trust in Christ. Please be praying for Anthony's spiritual growth and his uncertain future plans.
Of course the truth is that the future is uncertain for all of us. No one knows if the political turmoil in Thailand will have a peaceful settlement or turn into a violent civil war. And there are literally millions of folks here in Thailand who still need to hear the gospel.
“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”
Thank you for continuing to partner together with us as we share the good news of Jesus with the people of Thailand.
Yours for Thailand
David
