Dear Praying Friends
William Carey said, “The future is as bright as the promises of God.” After all these years of experience in Thailand it is easy to spend time thinking of what God has already done. But I want to have a heart that is looking forward with expectation to what God is going to do. I never cease to be amazed at the new doors of opportunity that God continues to open for us here in Thailand.
Just this past month I had the opportunity to present the gospel on a local, live radio broadcast. Over the space of about 3 weeks I shared the gospel in Thai with thousands of listeners. It was a great experience and I am now researching the possibility of putting together an “on-line” gospel radio broadcast that would be available to Thai language listeners.
Recently we have started a brand new outreach in our area. There is a small Muslim village near our home and we have friends in this village. As a tool for building relationships we have begun visiting this village on a regular basis and teaching English to the children. This is our first experience to deal specifically with a Thai Muslim community. (Most Thai people are Buddhist.) Please be praying that the Lord will give us special wisdom as we attempt to share the love of Christ with our neighbors.
God is busy working all around us and it is important that we keep our hearts open to His leading. I still thrill at the prospect of being used by God in this place. Most of the people in Thailand have still never heard a clear presentation of the gospel. Thank you for continuing to partner together with us here in Thailand.
Yours for Thailand
