We continue to distribute hundreds of tracts at the market each week. Most folks at the market have no idea what a “prayer table” is so there are often questions. And since Thailand has so few Christians (less than 1% of the population) it is very rare to talk to anyone who has even a rudimentary understanding of the gospel.
On a recent evening after passing out all of our tracts, we were heading back to our car when two teenage girls came running after us to ask for prayer. We were reminded once again that we are surrounded by people who have no hope without Jesus in their lives.
Unexpected Visa Trip
It is again time for our yearly visa renewal. Normally we are able to complete our visa renewal without leaving country. But our visa status has changed this year so we need to make an unexpected trip out of Thailand in September. The cost of this trip is an unbudgeted, major expense. Please be praying that the funds for this trip will be supplied.
For some excellent family news, our oldest daughter Alena will be getting married the first weekend of October. She was able to reschedule her wedding so that we could attend during our 1 month “visa-run” back to the USA. Alena's fiance grew up as a missionary kid in Africa and both he & Alena are looking forward to serving the Lord together.
All of our 5 children grew up here in Thailand. Our youngest, Jasmine is now 18 and all of the others are out on their own. Kids grow up, leave home, get married and start families. Life goes on and we get older. But after all these years, the Thai people STILL need Jesus. Thank you for partnering together with us as we preach the good news of Jesus in Thailand.
Yours for Thailand
